If you're reading this chances are you've already made your first tandem skydive and you're thinking of booking your second jump. Well, first things first, CONGRATS!! You're officially a skydiver!
How could anything compare to the first time you've jumped out of an airplane? It's adrenaline pumping with countless breathtaking sights. Truly a story to be told that will last a lifetime. You'd think we were joking if we told you your second skydive might be even more fun, but it's true!
Let's take a closer look at why your 2nd tandem skydive might even be better than your first.
During your first tandem skydive, your experience is is filled with questions and anticipation. When is it my turn to skydive? What will it feel like when I exit the airplane? Am I going to fall out of the airplane when they open the door? Why did that person just jump out of the plane at 5000 ft? With so many questions, it is hard to sit back, relax and enjoy the ride. Your second time around you have a much better understanding about the process and what is going to happen. You also know what it will feel like so it is much easier to take everything in.
When you exited the airplane on your first tandem skydive your brain was so overwhelmed with information that it was hard to process. We call this 'sensory overload'. Your field of view is also stuck in tunnel vision and your perspective is very small. Let's give you an example - many of our customers choose to add a Pro Package to their skydive which involves a professional videographer to jump with them. On the skydive, the videographer often times will fly up and high five the tandem skydiver in free fall. Believe it or not, many of these tandem customers are not able to recollect this happening on their skydive until they see their video later on! On your second skydive your tunnel vision opens up and allows you to take in more information. It takes hundreds of jumps to be able to fully process all the information that your brain takes in while skydiving. This is one of the main reasons why licensed jumpers never get bored with skydiving!
If you loved your first tandem jump, you might also want to take advantage of our Learn To Skydive program! Our training program starts off with two training tandems. Doing your first two training jumps as tandem skydives allows you to ease into training slowly and without the fear of having to do it all on your own yet. If you are considering learning to skydive, try doing your next skydive as a Training Tandem skydiving. We will teach you the following information before your skydive:
