Night skydives are a big deal for many new jumpers. To complete your first night skydive, you must be a licensed skydiver with a B license issued through the United States Parachute Association.

B License Requirements

  • 50 skydives
  • accuracy skydive parachute landings (10 jumps)
  • Canopy Course
  • water training class
  • B license exam

Once you have your B license you are able to make your first night skydive!

Our licensed jumpers had been requesting night skydives this season, so we waited until a full moon was on the calendar. We don't need much arm twisting to start up a bonfire and BBQ here at Skydive Danielson! While our night jumpers prepared for their skydives by reviewing safety protocol, deciding airplane exit order and attaching their strobes, the rest of us got the food started on the grill.

Right after my first bite of grilled pork chop, I looked up into the starry night sky and saw a flashing strobe! The crowd of onlookers all gazed up into the sky as one by one, we could identify the skydivers flying their parachutes around. All jumpers landed safely and were given a plate piled high with grilled pork chops, corn on the cob and watermelon. Summer time at the DZ is such an awesome place to be!
