Elly & Alex Teskey's 100th Skydive

Almost a year ago my husband Alex and I booked an appointment for a tandem skydive at Skydive Danielson. Our lives have changed in epic ways since then and we just celebrated our 100th jump together! At first, skydiving was thrilling because I was doing the exact opposite of what my body was telling me to do, "keep your seat belt buckled and stay in the plane!" Instead, I let my instructor lock me into his harness, put my feet on an airplane step 2 miles above the Planet Earth and hurtle my body out of an airplane. It was exciting to say the least, but learning to skydive brought it to a whole new level! I took control; I tightened my own harness this time before looking out the airplane door. Instead of getting pushed, I jumped! I wasn't just falling anymore, but flying! Learning to skydive has been an amazing experience and we've gotten to meet and learn from some awesome skydivers that quickly became friends. I've gotten to be on a few milestone jumps, but I have to brag that Alex's and my double 100th skydive has to be the best. Not only was it a double 100th, it was also Stephanie's 700th jump and Jon's 400th. This skydive had to be planned to monstrous proportions, obviously it couldn't be just any old skydive. We planned an 8 way out of 2 planes (the first 8 way of the season)! Such an incredible jump wouldn't have been possible without the super sweet flying skills of our pilot James and pilot/owner Rob. This summer is off to an extraordinary start and I can't wait to see what the rest of the summer will bring.
